In March of 2017, I was lucky enough to travel to Iceland, and was treated to a bit of beginner's luck! I had never seen the Northern Lights, and Iceland is one of the absolute best places to witness this beautiful phenomenon. In addition to having a pretty spectacular display on my first outing, this is an example of a "Corona", which is an even more rare event! The guide knew that I felt the pressure of capturing compelling photos, not knowing how long the lights would display, and whether I would ever see them again. He said...turn you camera off and enjoy. I did for a few minutes, but couldn't resist trying to make the most of the experience.
